PropertyRadar is a leading data and lead generation solution for real estate professionals, investors, and home services businesses. They provide comprehensive property and owner information, enabling their clients to discover opportunities, understand markets, and connect with homeowners and businesses. With over a decade of empowering users through their web application, PropertyRadar has been instrumental in helping professionals make informed decisions in the real estate market.

The Problem

PropertyRadar wanted to begin planning for a more cohesive architecture for its client applications regardless of the device, form factor, or operating system. The current applications worked well but required multiple teams to support development for web, iOS, and Android separately. This was inefficient and required a larger resource pool. We wanted to develop once, with a single team, and have it work across platforms providing a seamless user experience across them all. Recognizing the need to further enhance the user experience, PropertyRadar aimed to rebuild their application for multiple platforms—including Android, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, macOS, Web—using Flutter to ensure a consistent user journey across all devices.

The Solution

Codelitt partnered with PropertyRadar to collaboratively define and create this new client architecture. Focusing initially on a Chrome extension, we embarked on creating a robust, concise, and intelligent design system that would serve as the foundation for all future developments. Key features of our solution include:

  • Comprehensive Design System: Comprehensive Design System: We developed a smart and concise design system that ensures consistency across all platforms. This system simplifies the development process for new products, eliminating the need to rebuild components from scratch. To address the UX challenges with discoverability and usability, we implemented critical enhancements focused on improving navigation and ensuring that core features are more accessible and understandable to users.
  • Flutter Implementation: Utilizing Flutter enabled PropertyRadar to have a single codebase for multiple platforms, streamlining development and maintenance efforts while ensuring a native performance and look.
  • Proof of concept for mobile Application Development: We built a proof of concept of a mobile application that brings PropertyRadar's powerful features to users on the go, proving that Flutter was the best way forward.
  • Chrome Extension Development: The new Chrome extension integrates seamlessly with users' browsing experiences, allowing quick access to PropertyRadar's tools without disrupting workflow.
  • Roadmap for Expansion: With the design system and Flutter infrastructure in place, PropertyRadar is now well-positioned to expand its application to desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms efficiently.
